ORAL SURGERY

Oral Surgery or Oral Surgery includes the surgical pathology and surgery of the oral cavity, i.e. the study
of surgical techniques and the pathology of diseases that are treated by surgery within the anatomical limits of the oral cavity.
The oldest and most widespread oral surgery is tooth extraction. Other examples are the treatment of trapped teeth, cysts, abscesses, etc.
Surgical extraction is the method by which a tooth is removed after creating a flap and removing part of the surrounding bone. This method is relatively simple and quick, without bothering the patient, as long as the rules governing the basic surgical technique are followed. The main indications for surgical extraction are: Teeth that show unusual root morphology or have strongly bent apices .
